Hannah Kay is 15 years old and a sophomore at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, IL. As a student of Brenda Huang, she has won numerous awards from the Society of American Musicians and the Chinese Fine Arts Society (CFAS). She recently was honored as a 2009 Finalist at the CSO Youth Auditions and performed at The Symphony Center. In October 2009, she was a guest soloist in the Skokie Library Young Artists Series. Hannah, as pianist for The Midwest Young Artists’ (MYA) Trio Bravo, has performed at The Symphony Center, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Skokie Library Young Artists Series. Trio Bravo recently received an Honorable Mention at the MYA Chamber Competition and was awarded the 2008 Virginia G. Behrendt Scholarship through CFAS. Her other interests include following the Yankees, playing volleyball, badminton, and dancing.
