We have invited Professor David Evan Jones (University of California Santa Cruz) to the "East Meets West" special concert (August 19, 2006) as his piece will be performed at the concert. He will not able to attend the concert but he sent an exciting news ! Congratulations professor Jones!

Dear Ms. Park,

Thank you very much for the invitation.  I'm disappointed that I can't attend.

I wanted to tell you, however, that my own
composition (which received an 'honorable
mention' in the Sejong Society competition) has
been performed and recorded in studio and has
been accepted for publication on a Centaur
Records Compact Disk scheduled for release (along
with several other of my compositions) in 2008.

I am currently at work on a commission from
Euh-Ah Kwak, a Gayageum player, scored for
Gayageum, 'cello, and clarinet.  It will be
performed on the West Coast of the US and in
Seoul.
